Lea Russell

Board Member

Lea Russell’s passion for the Parkinson’s community is deeply personal. After her mother, Sarah deMenocal, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2021, Parkinson’s Body & Mind became a lifeline for their families.

Since then, Lea has served as a committee member for Punch Out Parkinson’s, and this year will be helping to Co-Chair the evening. She has also helped to raise visibility through community events, and was a presenter at the Pitch Your Peers annual meeting

which resulted in a $75,000 grant for PB&M.

Lea recently concluded an 18-year career at J.P. Morgan to focus more fully on family, community, and causes most important to her. At J.P. Morgan, Lea spent 17 years in Asset Management, providing investment advice to institutional clients. While the first half was spent advising Fortune 100 companies, the second half was spent supporting the build out the organization’s coverage of high growth, venture-backed Technology and Life Sciences companies. In her final role, she served as a Relationship Executive, delivering the broader firm to this same subset of clients. Lea carries several licenses including a Series 7, 66, SIE, 3, 79 and a real estate license.

At home in Old Greenwich, Lea is actively involved in her community. She heads up volunteering for Old Greenwich School’s largest fundraiser, The Pumpkin Patch and is Co-Chair of the PTA’s Health and Wellness initiatives. At Innis Arden Golf Club, Lea serves on the Pool Committee, is Chair of Summer Camp and Co-Chair of the Club’s annual Play for Pink event. She also coaches the Putnam Generals Cheerleading Team.

Together with her family, Elizabeth (8), Georgia (6), and her husband, Alex, she is committed to advancing the mission of Parkinson’s Body & Mind by bringing together her professional experience, community leadership, and personal dedication to supporting those with Parkinson’s.
