Virginia Lockhart

Board Member

Virginia Lockhart was most recently the Head of Digital Legal Affairs at Warner Music Group, where she led the legal team that licensed Warner’s music catalog to digital services such as Apple, YouTube and Spotify. Prior to joining Warner, she worked at law firm Shearman & Sterling in Paris and New York in the corporate Intellectual Property group.

She moved to Riverside in 2014 and has been an active member of the community, volunteering at her children’s schools, including joining the Board at Putnam Indian Field School and now the PTA Board at Riverside School, as well as serving on the Science Committee at the Bruce Museum and co-chairing an upcoming event for the Greenwich United Way.

She received a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Yale University in 2002 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2005. She resides in Riverside with her husband J.B. and her three children, who are currently ages 10, 8 and 4.

Virginia’s mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2014. During the pandemic, her mother’s Parkinson’s motor and non-motor symptoms worsened considerably. Virginia was the primary caretaker for her mother during 2020 and continues to be closely involved in her care. She has learned a tremendous amount about Parkinson’s Disease over the past few years, including much information she wished she had known earlier.  She believes strongly in the healing power of community and the benefits that can come from sharing information and success stories. She would like to help Parkinson’s Body & Mind grow as an organization and help it reach as many people as possible who are affected by Parkinson’s Disease.
