Welcome to Our Support Groups!
We have a group for you to attend this month.
We have established a global support group called Shakers Anonymous which is open to everyone who has PD, their partners, and families and has grown to over 500 members. Join us the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM on Zoom.

In addition, we offer a local support group, exclusively for men and women who have PD. Join us the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM pm on Zoom.

The Hallmarks of Our Support Groups:
1. The groups are led by a volunteer who has PD or a volunteer who is the partner to a person who has PD.
2. All the meetings are scheduled at 7:00pm to reach retired people with PD and people with PD who work full-time and
are at different stages of the PD journey, starting with the newly diagnosed.
3. All the meetings help people with PD maintain a positive attitude and live the best life possible with PD.
As a PD care partner, I have seen the positive outcomes of my husband’s involvement in the Parkinson’s Body and Mind programs through the YMCA. Exercise is a vital component in the wellbeing of people of living with PD. The exercises are proving to be very beneficial for his movement issues and the camaraderie of other participants sharing similar issues helps support a positive outlook and outcome.
